Berrydog Bikinis Review & Giveaway

I've always been a little nervous about buying swimwear online. I thought it would be hard to match up pieces. And then if it didn't fit right it would be a big hassle to exchange it. But at Berrydog, I learned that online shopping for a bikini can be easy and fun. With dozens of styles and colors of Brazilian swimsuits, thongs, and string swimsuits to choose from, you can find just the right bathing suit for any occasion. Their beautiful swimwear gives you a boost that will make anyone look hot and sexy this summer.

For my review, I received one of their beautiful two piece bikinis, similar to the one shown in the photo above, except mine is blue with black, white and yellow flowers. The color pattern is lovely and the material is high quality. It will hold up well whether you're at the beach or the pool. The top is a little smaller than what I am used to, and I'm a little too shy to post a picture online, but I was amazed by the comfort and support it offers. Their prices are very reasonable. Many of their sets are available for less then $50. And their shipping is quick and secure. If you are looking for something sexy this summer, look no further than Berrydog.

Of course, there are lots of  other sexy thongs and Brazilian bikinis available at Berrydog, as well accessories including cover ups and lingerie.  There are also some one piece choices for those who are a little more modest. With these suits, you are sure to have all eyes on you as you strut down the beach or lay out at the pool. Right now, priority shipping is  free on all orders over $50, so its a great time to update your beach wardrobe.

One very lucky winner is going to receive a bikini in the size of their choice. If the size selected is not available, they will send the closest thing to it.  To enter, just fill in the Rafflecopter form below. This giveaway will end 7/11/12 and is open to the US only.  The winner will be notified via email and will have 48 hours to reply. Thanks again to Berrydog for offering this fantastic prize.

Caprice Couture Giveaway

With temperatures in the nineties and folks getting ready for Fourth of July barbecues, it might feel like the fall is a million years away.  But trust me, before we know it, kids will be back in school and we will be swapping our flip flops for boots. If you live at the Jersey Shore on the cusp of Atlantic City, it can also mean lots of nights out on the town at clubs and concerts. With four kids, I don't get to do this very often. But when I do, I want to dress the part. If you want to look sexy this fall, check out the new designs at Caprice Couture. With their designer clothing you can "be undeniably sexy every day". You might think these designer fashions would cost a fortune, but many of their items are less then  $50 a piece! Here are just a few of my favorites.

One lucky winner is going to receive one beautiful dress from the Caprice Couture Fall Collection in the size of their choice! To enter, just fill in the Rafflecopter form below. This giveaway will end 7/10/12 and is open to the US  only.  The winner will be notified via email and will have 48 hours to reply. Thanks again to Caprice Couture for offering this fantastic prize.

This Is Civilation DVD Review

I have always enjoyed learning about the history of the world. There are certain places that I look at, and I swear I've seen them before, even if it wasn't this life time. This is Civilization is a magical journey to many of the places that call to me the strongest. From the pyramids of Egypt to old London. In this documentary, you'll find stunning visuals, but it also offers so much more. You will learn about currency, politics, and even the emotions that helped to shape the world we live in.  Its a stunning walk through time that will give you a better understanding of how civilization really evolved.  Here is a little  more about this fascinating DVD set direct from Acorn.

Following the common threads of inspiration and influence that link diverse art movements over centuries and continents, This Is Civilization, debuts on DVD from Athena on June 19, 2012. Artist and broadcaster Matthew Collings travels from London to Beijing in this sweeping four-part series and contemporary update of the BBC’s landmark 1969 series Civilization, with an expanded focus on non-Western art. The program was shot on location in Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Greece, China, Turkey, Egypt, and the U.S. and aired on the Ovation Channel in March 2009. This is Civilization includes a 12-page viewer’s guide with articles including Muse vs. Master, Living in the Material World, and the Art of War, as well as biographies of featured artists (DVD 2-vol. boxed set, $39.99, www.Athenalearning.com).

Collings traces the currents of emotion, money, and politics that shaped art through the centuries as he walks the halls of London’s Tate Gallery, the temples of ancient Egypt, a munitions-factory-turned-art space in Beijing, and other locales. As Collings shows, intricate patterns on mosques exude the same unifying aesthetic found in Jackson Pollock’s paintings, and kitschy reprints of Mao Zedong echo the devotional zeal of medieval church mosaics. At the same time, cultural forces as diverse as fascism and Christianity leave their own distinctive stamps on the art of their eras.

Broadcaster, critic, and author Matthew Collings has written extensively on contemporary art and hosted television programs including This Is Modern Art and Beautiful Equations. A classically trained artist, he collaborates with his wife, Emma Biggs, on abstract paintings.

Episodes: Ye Gods; Feelings; Save Our Souls; Uncertainty

BONUS FEATURES: 12-page viewer’s guide with articles including Muse vs. Master, Living in the Material World, and the Art of War; biographies of featured artists; plus discussion questions and more at
athenalearning.com

If you want to get the advantage of a full box set that will walk your through the history of our world, than this is the box set for you. You can order This Is Civilization for only $49.99 at Acorn Media.
